Discover the power of Whole-Person Physical Therapy, where we:

1.  Treat the Entire Individual

At Body & Brain, we believe that the physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and environmental are interconnected and that our body is a continuous network of tissues interwoven from head to toe.  Lack of mobility or dysfunction in one area can affect other areas and contribute to one's physical state.  We use whole-body techniques that affect the local area and that have global effects.  Multiple body sites are addressed in each session.

2.  Ignite the Body’s Natural Healing Processes

The cells of our body have an internal intelligence and self-correcting mechanism.  With the proper facilitation, our bodies can adapt and restore health.  Enhance your recovery with whatever you do, even outside of Body & Brain.

3.  Remove Unconscious Barriers

Our bodies store both emotional and physical traumas in our tissues.  These barriers impede healing by creating long-standing habitual patterns, such as postural holding patterns, repetitive pain narratives, and maladaptive coping mechanisms.  With awareness and guidance, these barriers can be processed and released.

4.  Restore Balance

The body is composed of control systems to detect change and to execute a response.  When injury or illness occur, movement and communication pathways become altered, and these control systems become out of sync, leading to compensations and disease.  By restoring mobility and communication with the brain and between structures, we can re-establish balance and set the stage for the  healing process.

5.  Make It All About You

We provide client-centered care, listen to your goals,  aspirations, and your present readiness for change. Your body’s intelligence guides treatment; we provide the specific cues and support that allow healing from within.

Meet Christina

Christina has lived through her own invisible injury and knows first-hand what it takes to adapt and overcome.

As a competitive athlete through her 20s, she suffered a compilation of orthopedic injuries, brain injuries, and chronic infections, all of which were misdiagnosed, mistreated, and severely impacted her neurological system.

As a result of her experiences, Christina dedicated herself to helping others avoid the struggles she once faced.
